Posted by Andrea under News

Just in time to play with for the weekend, Donncha has released WPMU 1.5 rc1. You can read his notes here and grab the zip from trac here.
Please be aware this is a release cadidate, not a full release. Either use it on a test server, or backup everything twice before live deployment.
As always, [...] Read more »

It’s coming… (updated)

Posted by Andrea under News

Just have a little news from Donncha; he’s finishing up a couple issues and then will be submitting massive amounts of changes to trac.
Because I know you’re all waiting anxiously. But then we’ll have to test it out, too.
Edit: It’s out - sort of. Read this forum post for details. You can get a [...] Read more »

Testing, testing

Posted by Andrea under News

Just a brief administration post to let you know I’m testing a translation plugin here on this blog. Since all posts are written in English, I figured my worldwide audience would find posts in their language quite handy. My second-language skills are limited to being able to yell at my kids or recieve instruction en [...] Read more »

It’s coming…

Posted by Andrea under News

I watch the trac feed for activity, and it’s been busy the past couple of weeks. This morning changes came in with a note: “Add and delete WP 2.5 files. *DON’T SVN UPDATE!*”
So by that, you can see the WP 2.5 changes are being rolled in. I expect it will be only a couple days [...] Read more »

Posted by Andrea under News

Well well well.
If you’re keeping tabs on the Buddypress project there’s been some interesting developments. Check out the original site link and this thread. Andy is now working for Automattic to develop BuddyPress for WPMU.
I am not sure how I feel about it right now.

The things you can do with MU

Posted by Andrea under News

For a couple weeks now, I’ve had an idea brewing in the back of my head. It came from seeing a whole pile of ugly MU-based sites, and occasionally a very nice well-designed one, or one with an incredibly innovative use. I thought it might benefit the community as a whole to showcase a really [...] Read more »

In case you haven’t heard, WMPU 1.3.2 was released. This is considered a major security upgrade with fixes from Wordpress 2.3.2 and some fixes for MU specifically.

Unexpected hiatus

Posted by Andrea under News

Sorry for the long delay sicne the last post. What with the holidays and being very busy with clients, posting dropped right off for me. I hope to get back on a great schedule in the new year, so look for it and at least one more author joining us.
Also, feel free to make any [...] Read more »

WPMU 1.3 is finally out

Posted by Andrea under News

I’ve been waiting for this one for weeks. Donncha worked pretty hard getting this release out and squashing the bugs. Check out the official forum thread for details.
I’m a bit behind, but I hope to thoroughly test this out and point out the snazzy new features and what you can do with them.
The first [...] Read more »
